Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar offers 4 years Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) Programme offered by the Department of Multimedia Communication and Design (MCD).
BACHELOR OF DESIGN (DIRECT ENTRY)
SELECTION PROCESS: Candidates seeking admission to B. Des programme through Direct Entry Scheme must qualify either Central Institute of Technology Bachelor of Design Admission Test (CITBDAT) conducted by CIT Kokrajhar or Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination of Design (UCEED) conducted by IIT Bombay. 60% of intake is allotted for CITBDAT and rest of the seats are allotted for UCEED qualified candidates.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: B. Des (Direct Entry):10+2 (any stream) or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
AGE LIMIT: Candidates must not be above 21 years, or below 17 years of age as on 1 st August of the current academic year. The upper age limit is relaxed to 3 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
CITBDAT: The CITBDAT is conducted every year by CIT Kokrajhar for entry into B. Des programme. It is of three hours duration and consists of multiple choice questions with a total of 200 marks. The question paper consists of two parts: PART – A & PART – B. The question paper carries 107 questions in total.

UCEED: UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay every year. Candidates seeking admission only through UCEED also need to separately apply to CIT either by online mode or offline mode. The softcopy/hardcopy of scorecard of UCEED need to be submitted to the Admission Cell within 10 days from the declaration of UCEED result.
BACHELOR OF DESIGN (VERTICAL ENTRY)
Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar offers admission to B. Des 3rd semester, for students who have passed Diploma in AMT program from CIT Kokrajhar under this scheme.
SELECTION PROCESS: The Vertical Entry Scheme is offered only for meritorious students who passed Diploma from CIT Kokrajhar and they are selected based on their performance in the Diploma Exams.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Diploma passed in AMT from CIT with 65% marks in aggregate. (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PWD).
